Every year at Christmas my mom would make our "secret family recipe" of fudge for holiday gifts. When I owned my first store in my 20s I was putting together a company cookbook and asked to share it. She said, "sure, it's on the back of the marshmallow spread at the store". It was then I knew we were more similar than I thought.

It's been almost 4 years since we lost her and not a day goes by that I do not miss that woman.

Sending love this season to anyone with an empty seat at their table. There are now 2 at mine.
